Distinguished evolutionary biologist and 3CPG faculty member Rick Harrison died unexpectedly April 12 2016 while visiting Lizard Island, Australia. His tragic death is a major loss to our community, the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, to Cornell, and to the field of evolutionary biology and speciation.  He was an eloquent scholar and simply a gem of a person. Members of his lab will be completing projects underway with the support of department colleagues and some of Rick's former students and collaborators.
